BGB organises free medical camp in remote Bandarban areas

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has provided free medical services and distributed essential medicines to over 500 helpless and impoverished people across three remote hilly villages in Bandarban.
The free medical camp was organized by the Bandarban BGB Sector at the premises of Kaintarmukh Government Primary School in Rowangchhari upazila on Thursday noon. The initiative catered to approximately 500 men, women, and children—including women, children, and the elderly—from Kaintarmukh, Lapegoi, Lapaimukh para, and surrounding remote localities, providing treatment for various ailments alongside free medicines.
Local residents warmly welcomed the initiative, expressing satisfaction over receiving free healthcare in an area with limited medical facilities, and urged that such humanitarian programs continue regularly.
Bandarban Sector Commander Colonel Rubayet Jamil stated that alongside ensuring border security, BGB continuously undertakes welfare activities to support the healthcare, education, and humanitarian needs of people in remote regions, assuring that such public service initiatives will persist in the future.
