Bangladesh reports four more deaths with suspected measles, 115 new cases

Bangladesh has recorded four deaths with measles symptoms and another 185 confirmed cases of the disease in a 24-hour count.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its Sunday bulletin that the latest numbers were registered in the 24 hours from 8am on Saturday.
The agency has tracked outbreak data on the disease since Mar 15.
The nationwide death toll from confirmed cases remained unchanged at 96, while 748 people have died after developing symptoms consistent with the disease.
The Dhaka Division remains hardest-hit with 325 symptom-related deaths, followed by Sylhet with 111, Rajshahi 91, Chattogram 61, Barishal 45, Mymensingh 71, Khulna 32, and Rangpur 12.
The health directorate says 1,022 people sought treatment for measles symptoms at hospitals nationwide over the past day, of whom 946 were admitted.
The Dhaka Division took in 283 patients, followed by Chattogram with 240. Barishal registered 142, Sylhet 63, Mymensingh 65, Khulna 22, Rajshahi 26, and Rangpur 45.
Cumulative hospital admissions have climbed to 112,620, with 108,283 patients discharged.
Suspected cases nationwide now total 130,083, while confirmed infections stand at 16,295.
