Anti-corruption competitions held in Satkhira with 16 schools

To foster integrity and raise awareness among students, a district-level debate, essay, and art competition was held at the Satkhira Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium on Wednesday.
Organized by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Integrated District Office, Khulna, and managed by the Satkhira District Administration and District Anti-Corruption Committee, the second day of the event saw participation from 16 educational institutions.
Chaired by Alhaj Dr. Abul Kalam Babla, President of the District Anti-Corruption Committee, the event was formally inaugurated by Satkhira Superintendent of Police (SP) Abu Saleh Md. Ashraful Alam as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, SP Ashraful Alam emphasized that the lack of moral practice fuels corruption, calling it the primary barrier to national development.
Satkhira Sadar UNO Arnab Dutta and Acting Secondary Education Officer Md. Abul Hossain spoke as special guests at the program, which was moderated by District Anti-Corruption Committee General Secretary Md. Anisur Rahman.
In the opening debate session on the topic "Reluctance to follow religious teachings is the main reason for the spread of corruption," Mahmudpur Secondary School (motion) competed against Shimulbaria Secondary School (opposition).
