A memorial meeting, discussion and prayer program was held on the occasion of the 32nd death anniversary of the founder of the traditional Palashpol Adarsh High School in Satkhira, Late Amjad Hossain Khan Chowdhury. The program was organized in the school's own hall on Thursday afternoon to mark the death anniversary on July 31.

The program was presided over by the school's headmaster Md. Mominul Islam, and Sheikh Masum Billah Shaheen, a former student of the school and Satkhira District BNP member, was present as the chief guest. At the beginning of the program, his daughter Sabina Khan Chowdhury gave a welcome speech by reminiscing about the memory of the late Amjad Hossain Khan Chowdhury. In addition, the late Mominur Hossain Khan Chowdhury's son spoke as a special guest through online virtual from faraway Australia. While delivering his speech, he assured to launch a special 'Merit Scholarship' for the welfare of the school's students and for improving the quality of education.

Among others, the teachers of the school spoke at the memorial meeting: Assistant Headmaster Md. Shamimur Rahman, Assistant Teacher Hemnath Sarkar, Suraiya Parveen, Priyanka Rani, Md. Aftabuzzaman and former religious teacher Maulana Anwarul Hasan were among others. After the discussion meeting, a special prayer and supplication was conducted seeking forgiveness and peace for the soul of the late Amjad Hossain Khan Chowdhury.

The prayer was conducted by Imam and Khatib Hafez Maulana Mufti Habibullah Habibi of Khadijatul Kobra Jame Mosque. The discussion and supplication mahfil was conducted by the assistant teacher of the school, Israil Alam, and the teachers, guardians and students of the school were present.
