All preparations have been completed to celebrate the Great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day.

On this occasion, vehicle movement will be restricted in Dhaka University from 5:00 PM on Thursday. There will be strict control measures on entering the campus after 8:00 PM on February 20. Those living in various residential areas of the campus have been specially requested to return to their residences by 8:00 PM. They have been requested to use security passes and identity cards in case of special emergency.

Other programs of Dhaka University to celebrate the day include: keeping the national flag at half-mast and hoisting the black flag at the main buildings of the university including the Vice-Chancellor's Building, special prayers/supplications for the forgiveness/peace of the souls of the language martyrs after Asr at the University Masjidul Jamia, mosques in all halls and mosques in the university residential areas.

On the occasion of the great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day, a silent procession and morning procession will be taken out from the 'Smriti Chirantan' square in front of the Vice-Chancellor's Building on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 6:30 am. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan will lead it. The silent procession and morning procession will proceed to the Central Shaheed Minar via Udayan School. Later, a wreath will be placed at the Central Shaheed Minar.

The University's Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education), Treasurer, Registrar, Senate and Syndicate members, Deans of all faculties, provosts and wardens of halls and hostels, proctors, departmentb chairmen and Institute Directors, office heads, teachers, students, Officers and Staff will participate in it. Everyone is requested to gather at Smriti Chirantan Chattar on Friday at 6:15 am to participate in the Prabhat Pheri.
