Mustafa Kamal elected Chairman of Board of Trustees of People's University of Bangladesh

Mostafa Kamal, Chairman and Managing Director (MD) of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), has been elected as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the People's University of Bangladesh ( PUB).
He was elected Chairman for a two-year term by the consent of all the members present at the election of the new Board of Directors at the AGM of the university at the Gulshan Club in the city on Monday (Feb 17).
Besides, Dr. Minhaj Uddin Ahmed has been re-elected as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Muhammad Nazmul Hasan has been elected as the Member Secretary. Other members of the Board of Trustees in the meeting included Salimul Haque Kamal, Mahmudur Rahman Sumon, Shamsunnahar Rashid, Shah Nurunnabi, Umme Kulsum Parveen, Nadia Hossain, Kazi Ariful Islam, Rajib Chakraborty and Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Dr. AKM Mahbubuzzaman was present.
Mustafa Kamal, besides playing a leading role in the industrial development of Bangladesh, is also playing an important role in education, health and social service. He has a simultaneous initiative to spread the light of education not only in the city but also in the remote areas of the country. In addition to the largest scholarship of the Marketing Department of Dhaka University, research and scholarship grants in the Chemical Engineering Department of BUET. He has been working tirelessly to establish and manage educational institutions in remote areas of the country including Alhaj Noor Mia Degree College, Alhaj Ayesha Khatun Polytechnic Institute and various schools, colleges and madrasas.
