Abdul Aziz MP inaugurates National Fisheries Fortnight in Baraigram

Abdul Aziz MP inaugurated the National Fisheries Fortnigh-2026 in Baraigram Upazila of Natore on Sunday. A colorful rally, fish fry release and discussion meeting were held on the occasion of the inauguration day.
The meeting organized at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium, chaired by UNO Laila Jannatul Ferdous, MP from Natore-4 (Gurdaspur-Baraigram) constituency Alhaj Md. Abdul Aziz spoke as a chief guest.
Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Murad Hossain Pramanik delivered the welcome speech at the meeting. It was moderated by Assistant Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Mobashir Hossain. Among others, District BNP member Mahua Nur Kochi, Upazila BNP former joint convener Md. Abdus Salam Molla, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Sajib Al Maruf, Upazila Livestock Officer Nur Alam Siddiqui, President of Baraigram Smart Press Club Alhaj Saifur Rahman, freedom fighter Abul Khair, fisherman Ibrahim Hossain and fish farmer Abdul Quddus Majumder spoke there.
The speakers highlighted the importance of the fisheries sector in the country's economy and employment and urged everyone to come forward to increase fish production and conserve local fish species. There, fishery youth entrepreneur Asif Iqbal and fish producer Abdul Quddus were presented with crests of honor.
