8 miscreants arrested with two dredgers while illegally extracting sand in Shibaloy Char area

The Coast Guard has arrested eight miscreants along with two dredgers while illegally extracting sand in Shibaloy Char area of Manikganj.
Lieutenant Commander Md. Siam-ul-Haq, Media Officer of Coast Guard Headquarters, gave this information on Saturday morning.
Based on secret information, a special operation was conducted by the BCG Temporary Contingent Paturia under the Dhaka Zone of Bangladesh Coast Guard from 3 pm to 8 pm on Friday, January 17, 2025 in Alokdiar Char, Teota, Jafarganj and the adjacent Jamuna River in Shibaloy Upazila of Manikganj.
During the operation, 08 miscreants along with 02 dredgers were arrested while illegally extracting sand from the said area.
