53rd Summer Sports Competition of National School, Madrasa & Technical Education inaugurated in Faridpur

The 53rd Bangladesh National School, Madrasa, and Technical Education Sports Association Summer Sports Competition 2026 was officially inaugurated in Faridpur.
On Sunday morning, the event kicked off at the Moizuddin High School ground in Faridpur with the releasing of balloons and festoons.
Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf, Member of Parliament for the Faridpur-3 constituency, attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
The inaugural session was presided over by Mazharul Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Faridpur and President of the District School, Madrasa, and Technical Education Sports Association. Among others present were Additional Deputy Commissioner Sohrab Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police Fatema Islam, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mahmudul Hasan, Principal of Government Rajendra College Professor S.M. Abdul Halim, President of City Jubo Dal Benazir Ahmed Tabriz, Joint Convener of City BNP Emdadul Huq, along with teachers and students from various educational institutions.
Under the overall management of Bishnu Pada Ghoshal, Faridpur District Education Officer and Secretary of the District School, Madrasa, and Technical Education Sports Association, the official program began with the performance of the national anthem and the presentation of floral greetings to the guests.
Following the inauguration, the opening match of the competition featured a kabaddi match between Faridpur Sadar Upazila and Charbhadrasan Upazila. In a competitive match, Faridpur Sadar Upazila emerged victorious over Charbhadrasan Upazila by a margin of 42-13 points.
