Community Police Kabaddi Championship to kick off in Barguna

Following directives from the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Barguna is set to host the "1st Community Police Kabaddi Championship-2026" for the first time.
The tournament will be held across every police station in the district with the assistance of newly formed community policing committees, running from September 1 to October 5. The competition will unfold in four successive tiers: police station level, district/metro crime division level, range/metropolitan level, and finally the national stage.
Young male and female players under the age of 20 are eligible to participate. Competitors must be permanent residents of their respective unions, police stations, or districts, with a maximum weight limit set at 80 kg. Each team will consist of 14 members, including 12 players, one coach, and one manager. Matches will be conducted over a duration of 20+5+20 minutes in accordance with the official rules approved by the Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation.
