3,000 palm trees planted in Mirsarai at Durbar's initiative

Three thousand palm trees have been planted under the initiative of Durbar Pragati Sangathan, a voluntary organization in Mirsarai.

On Saturday morning, voluntary organization Durbar planted 1,200 date palm trees and saplings at various places on the Tinghoriyitola-Muradpur road. This day-long program was implemented with the participation of volunteers. Earlier, in 2015, at the initiative of Durbar, the first 100 date palm trees were planted in the area adjacent to the organization's office in the presence of Union Agriculture Officer Tapan Das.

Later, in 2018, more than 800 date palm trees were planted on Maliyish School Road and Bishumia Road. In 2022, more than 1,000 date palm trees were planted on Mirsarai-Govnia Road, Bishumia Road, Takia Road and East Maliyish Government Primary School Road in Mithanala and Moghadia Unions.

The organization's president Abdullah and secretary Ali Haider said, "A date palm tree planted today is an investment in a safe environment and greenery for the next generation. It is also our commitment to ensure the care of each sapling until it grows. This program will continue continuously to protect the environment."

The program was inaugurated by Bahar Chowdhury Nuria Dakhil Madrasa President Salamat Ullah Master, Hashimnagar Primary School Teacher Md. Rashedul Alam Arif, Rafiqul Islam, ASI, Highway Police Superintendent's Office, Comilla Region, Durbar Shubhakankhi Shahadat Hossain and environmentalist Yasir Arafat, among others, were also present.
