16 drug dealers arrested in police operation in Lalmonirhat

Police conducted a special operation and arrested 16 drug dealers from various areas on Sunday night.
On that day, Lalmonirhat Thana police conducted a special operation in the Lalmonirhat municipal area and arrested a total of 16 accused including drug users, thieves, and receivers of stolen goods, and sent them to the district jail through the learned court and mobile court.
It is to be mentioned that among the total 16 arrested accused, 10 drug users were sentenced to various terms through the mobile court. The convicted drug users are: Nasir Uddin (50), (03 months jail), Ali Arman Rajon (32), (03 months sentence), Anwar Hossain Dalim (38), (03 months jail), Zakaria (24), (03 months jail), Md. Rashed (35), (15 days jail), Md. Ashraful (38), (02 months jail), Md. Shariful Islam (31), (02 months jail), Fazal Mia (29), (01 month jail), Md. Choton (25), (02 months jail) and Md. Imon Hossain Maruf (19), (02 months jail).
They were also fined 100 taka each by the mobile court.
Besides, in connection with Lalmonirhat Thana Case No-70, Date-28 June 2025; Section-411/380/457 The Penal Code, 1860; stolen goods were recovered and thief accused:
Under the direction of Lalmonirhat District Superintendent of Police Md. Tarikul Islam, Lalmonirhat Sadar Thana OC Md. Nubnabi and Investigation OC Badal Mondal conducted the operation and arrested them.
