In a remarkable display of integrity, 13 young men and women have secured positions as Trainee Recruit Constables (TRC) in the Joypurhat police force solely through merit and transparency.

The entire application process—including online submissions—cost each applicant only 120 Taka, with no bribes or political lobbying involved. This exemplary recruitment was conducted under the strict supervision of the Joypurhat District Police Administration.

On Thursday night (May 15), Superintendent of Police Muhammad Abdul Wahab officially announced the final results of the TRC recruitment at the Police Lines Drill Shed in Joypurhat. The new recruits were warmly welcomed with flowers.

Coming from poor and middle-class families, the newly appointed constables were overwhelmed with joy. The opportunity to join the Bangladesh Police without facing harassment, influence, or corruption was a dream come true for many.

Among them was Shahanaz Parvin Sanu, daughter of CNG driver Shahidul Islam from Ruair village in Khetlal upazila. Upon learning that no bribe was required to apply for a police job, she filled out the application form and stood in line like everyone else. When her name was announced as one of the selected candidates, she broke down in tears of joy, with her father standing proudly by her side.

“This is the happiest day of my life. I never thought I would see someone get a job without spending a single extra penny,” Shahidul Islam said. “Alhamdulillah, my daughter has secured a job today.”

Another successful candidate, Bidhan Rabidas, son of a cobbler from Runihali village in Panchbibi upazila, was also moved to tears when he heard his name announced.

In total, 13 candidates earned their positions in the police force solely through merit and by spending only 120 Taka on the application process.

SP Muhammad Abdul Wahab said, “These 13 young men and women have been selected entirely based on their merit and qualifications. None of them needed connections, lobbying, or bribes to get here. I wish them all the best as they dedicate themselves to the service of the nation.”
