11-Party Alliance holds press conference in Rangpur ahead of gathering

More than 500,000 people will gather at the Rangpur Divisional Grand Rally organized by the 11-party alliance at 2:30 pm on Saturday, on the 4-point demand to implement the referendum, take effective measures to implement the Teesta Grand Plan, stop border killings and push-ins, and develop Rangpur as an agricultural capital to alleviate the suffering of the people.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, will be the chief guest at this rally of the 11-party alliance. Nahid Islam, the Chief Whip of the Opposition in the Parliament and the convener of the NCP will preside over the grand gathering.
Jamaat-e-Islami's Central Assistant Secretary General and Rangpur-Dinajpur Regional Director Maulana Abdul Halim said this at a press briefing organized by the 11-party alliance at the Rangpur District School Ground on Friday noon.
He said, special guests who will speak at the general assembly will be Liberal Democratic Party LDP President Colonel (retd) Dr. Oli Ahmed Bir Bikram, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Ameer Maulana Mamunul Haque, Bangladesh Nejame Islam Party Acting President Maulana Abdul Qayyum Sobhani, Rangpur-2 Badarganj-Taraganj constituency member of the National Assembly and one of the central Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami ATM Azharul Islam, National Democratic Party Jagpar Vice President and Mouthpiece Rashed Prodhan, Amar Bangladesh Party AB Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju, Bangladesh Khelafat Andolon Ameer Maulana Habibullah Miyaji, Bangladesh Labor Party Chairman Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Iran, Bangladesh Development Party Chairman Adv. Anwarul Islam Chan, Rangpur-4 Kaunia-Pirgachha constituency MP and NCP member Secretary Akhtar Hossain and 11 party central and Rangpur divisional leaders.
Maulana Halim said that the 11 party alliance is holding grand rallies in 8 divisional cities across the country to fulfill the people's expectations of the July Revolution. As part of this, this divisional grand rally will be held in Rangpur on Saturday at the Zilla School Ground with 4-point demands.
The press briefing was attended by Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee Member and Assistant Regional Director of Rangpur-Dinajpur Region Maulana Momtaz Uddin, Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee Member and Rangpur-Dinajpur Region Team Member and Rangpur-3 Sadar Constituency MP Prof Mahbubur Rahman Belal, Central Working Committee Member and Rangpur Metro Ameer Deputy Principal Maulana ATM Azam Khan, Rangpur District Ameer and Rangpur-5 Mithapukur Constituency MP Prof Golam Rabbani, Rangpur Metropolitan Assistant Secretary and Rangpur-1 Gangachara Constituency MP Prof Maulana Raihan Siraji, Kurigram-1 Bhurungamari-Nageshwari Constituency MP Prof Anwarul Islam, Forum of Diploma Engineers Central President Engineer Mohammad Abdus Sattar Shah, Metro Jamaat Secretary Anwarul Haque Kajal, District Jamaat Secretary Maulana Enamul Haque, NCP District President Mohammad Abdul Malek, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Metro President Maulana Ibrahim Khalil, Jagpa Metropolitan President Masum Billah, AB Party Metro Member Secretary Mahbubar Rahman and local 11 party alliance leaders were present.
He said that a ray of hope has arisen in the minds of the people in Rangpur surrounding the divisional general assembly. In addition, to make the general assembly successful, a coordination committee has been formed with Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee member and Rangpur Metropolitan Ameer Vice-Principal Maulana ATM Azam Khan as the chief coordinator. To make the general assembly successful, extensive miking, postering, leaflet distribution, banner hanging, and spectacular processions have been made.
