An explosion caused by an overheating wrapping machine at a Bashundhara Group aerosol and air freshener manufacturing factory in the Meghnaghat area of Sonargaon, Narayanganj, left 10 workers injured with burns. The incident occurred on Sunday at around 10:00 AM.

Morshed Alam, the security in-charge of Bashundhara Paper Mill Unit-1, stated, “A small fire broke out inside the factory while gas was being filled in air freshener bottles. About 10 workers were burned in the process. However, there was no major fire, and we brought it under control within 10 minutes without requiring assistance from external fire services.”
After inspecting the site, Sujon Haldar, Station Officer of Sonargaon Fire Service, confirmed that the fire was controlled without external help. He added, “All 10 workers who were on duty in the same line at the time of the explosion sustained burns.”
