
Workshop on fish farming held in Faridpur

A workshop was held in Faridpur aimed at enhancing the capacity and production of fish farms in the region.
This workshop was conducted under the project titled "Infrastructure Development (Phase 1)" for the existing government fish farms to improve their capacity and fish production for the fiscal year 2025-26.
The workshop, organized by the District Fisheries Department, took place on Thursday at 11:30 AM in the conference room of the East Gangabadi Fish Training and Extension Center in Faridpur city. The Chief Guest of the event was Mohammad Monirul Islam, Director of the Dhaka Division Fisheries Department.
The workshop was chaired by Prashant Kumar Sarker, District Fisheries Officer of Faridpur, with participation from Project Director Mohammad Mashirur Rahman, Senior Assistant Director Harun-or-Rashid, Principal of the Fisheries Training and Extension Center Mahbub Hossain, as well as fish farmers, fish traders, fisheries officers, fisheries researchers, farm managers, and entrepreneurs.
