Pubali Bank's plantation programme in Kathalia

Under the initiative of Kathalia Pubali Bank of Jhalakathi, seven hundred coconut saplings have been planted in 206 schools, colleges, madrasas, floating tourist center Chhailarchar and Jorapol shelter center of the upazila, including the Upazila Parishad premises, as part of a nationwide tree planting program to reduce the country's climate change-related risks.

UNO Zahirul Islam inaugurated the distribution and planting of coconut saplings at the Upazila Parishad ground. Pubali Bank Kathalia Branch Manager Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Jobayer Hossain, Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Kamrul Islam, and other prominent figures of the area were present.
