UP member’s younger brother hacked to death in Ashulia

Rubel Mondal (35) was hacked to death by miscreants in Ashulia. Police recovered the body on Wednesday afternoon from the Deun area of Paragram in Ashulia Union.
The deceased, Rubel Mondal, was the son of Md. Nayeeb Ali Mondal of South Para in Paragram, Ashulia, and the younger brother of Ruhul Amin Mondal, a member of the 8th Ward of the same union.
According to police, around 12:30 PM, locals discovered Rubel Mondal’s bloodied body in a secluded spot in Deun. Upon receiving the information, police recovered the body from the scene. There were deep wounds in several parts of his body. It is assumed that he was killed one or two hours prior to being found.
Ashulia Police Station OC (Investigation) Kamal Hossain said the body has been sent to the capital’s Suhrawardy Hospital for autopsy. He added that efforts are underway to identify the motive and those involved in the killing.
