Satkhira District Child Labour Monitoring Committee meeting and seminar were held.
The meeting and seminar were organized by the district administration and implemented by the Department of Factories and Institutions Inspection, Khulna on Monday at 11 am in the Conference Room of the Satkhira Deputy Commissioner.
The seminar was chaired by Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mostaq Ahmed and moderated by Deputy Inspector General of the Department of Factories and Institutions Inspection, Khulna, and addressed by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Binchupada Pal, District Information Officer Md. Jaharul Islam Tutul, Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Mukit Hasan Khan, Assistant Commissioner Ishtiaq Ahmed, Md. Nabil Hossain, Assistant Director of the Department of Labor, Khulna. Mahbub Alam, Principal (Acting) of Satkhira Technical Training Center K, M, Mizanur Rahman, District Child Affairs Officer Riazul Islam, Medical Officer of Civil Surgeon's Office Dr. Ismat Jahan Sumna, Police Inspector Md. Monirul Islam, Director of Sushilon Satkhira Monir Hossain, Assistant Director of District Non-Formal Education Bureau Shahariar Naeem.
At this time, Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mostaq Ahmed said that child labor or child marriage will not be stopped by punishing. child labor will be stopped only if children can be trained and developed.
In addition, it was decided to list all the places where children are working in the district, including the washhouses and bus terminals. To solve the problem, emphasis was placed on preventing children from child labor and providing them with technical education through training in the relevant departments including TTC, Social Services, and Women's Affairs.
