Bagerhat Institute of Marine Technology shut down by students

Students studying at Bagerhat Institute of Marine Technology have declared a shutdown by hanging locks at the institute to press for their three-point demand on n Monday morning.
Students studying at the Chitli Baitpur,Institute of Marine Technology premises in Sadar provided Officer Cadet CDC to marine and shipbuilding diploma holders through pre-sea training of up to 6 months for joining sea-going ships. Provision has been made for the appointment of Marine and Shipbuilding Diploma holders for the post of Deputy Assistant Engineer in the engine and machine related departments under various ministries.
After holding a protest and human chain program with placards containing three demands including improving the quality of training, they locked the main gate and academic building and announced a shutdown. They also announced that this shutdown program will continue indefinitely until their reasonable demands, including the immediate implementation of the CDC, are accepted.
