Keeping in mind the slogan "We are initiated in the mantra of service - always with the aim of service everywhere," the annual group camp and initiation of the Rover Scout Group was held at Bikrampur Kunj Bihari Government College in Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj.

The event was held  on the college premises in the Ichhapura area of the upazila on Saturday. 

The annual group camp and initiation ceremony was convened by Md. Dulal Miah and chaired and conducted by Md. Sayedur Rahman, Physical Education Teacher and Rover Scout Unit (RSL) leader of Kunj Bihari Government College.

Prof  Dr. Rasamoy Kirtaniya of Bikrampur Kunj Bihari Government College was present as the chief guest. Special guests included Md. Aminul Islam Khan, Lecturer of the Department of Accounting, M.M. Tofazzal Hossain, Lecturer of the Department of Geography, Afroza Akhter, Joint Secretary of the Lecturer and Teachers Council, former head of the college, Senior Rover and Upazila Parishad CA Md. Abu Taher, along with other teachers and students.

The Rover Scout members were formally initiated at the event.

In their speeches, the guests discussed the importance of the Scout movement, discipline, leadership development, and society building, and above all, the ideals of nation building. They said scouting develops a sense of responsibility, patriotism, and humanitarian qualities among students.

Former Senior Rover and Upazila Parishad CA Md. Abu Taher said, "We are working to accelerate the Scout movement in the upazila. As part of this, scouting, which was closed in secondary educational institutions, has already been accelerated. A committee has been formed through UNO  to do this."

Professor Dr. Rasamoy Kirtaniya of Bikrampur Kunj Bihari Government College said that the Rover Scout Camp instills morality and leadership in students in real life. Such events help provide positive and constructive experiences to the young generation and encourage activity.
