Pilot operation of hospital automation system launched at C'nawabganj District Hospital

A pilot operation of the Hospital Automation System has been launched at the 250-bed Chapainawabganj District Hospital to digitalize the hospital’s service delivery process.
The digital service was formally inaugurated on Tuesday morning on the hospital premises. The initiative has been implemented by the Chapainawabganj District Council.
Harunur Rashid, Administrator of Chapainawabganj District Council, BNP leader and former Member of Parliament, attended the event as the chief guest.
The special guests were Dr. A.K.M. Shahab Uddin, Civil Surgeon of Chapainawabganj; Dr. Moha. Moyez Uddin, President of the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) and Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), Chapainawabganj; and Abu Saleh Mohammad Hasnat, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the District Council.
The program was chaired by Dr. Zamir Md. Habibuzzaman, Superintendent of the 250-bed Chapainawabganj District Hospital.
The introduction of the Hospital Automation System aims to make patient services more modern, faster and easier while bringing various hospital activities under digital management. Officials hope the system will reduce patient inconvenience and improve the quality and efficiency of hospital services.
Chief Guest Harunur Rashid said the new system would securely preserve information about every patient receiving treatment at the hospital, including their medical history and necessary treatment-related records. As a result, he said, treatment would become easier and more effective in the future.
The hospital pharmacy will also be integrated into the automation system. This will make it easier to monitor medicine distribution, stock levels and supply management.
Under the system, pathology, X-ray and other diagnostic test results will be delivered directly to the concerned physicians. Patients will also be able to obtain copies of their reports more easily.
Officials and employees from the District Council, District Hospital and Health Department, along with other concerned individuals, were present at the inauguration ceremony.
