Prof Dr. Md. Sohel Hasan joins as new VC of GUST

The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Gopalganj University of Science and Technology (GUST), Professor Dr. Md. Sohel Hasan, formally assumed office on Tuesday . He joined the university in the afternoon as the seventh Vice-Chancellor.
Prof Dr. Md. Sohel Hasan is a professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Rajshahi. He had been serving as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Gopalganj University of Science and Technology for about two years.
In a brief speech after assuming office, he said, "On this auspicious occasion, I seek everyone's prayers and cooperation. Every work we do will be dedicated to the welfare of the university's teachers, students, officers and employees. We want to take this university further through collective efforts."
At this time, the university's teachers, students, officials, and employees greeted and congratulated the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor.
