DC Abu Saeed emphasises citizen cooperation for Pirojpur town development

Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner Abu Saeed has inspected various ongoing infrastructure development and civic service projects in the town, providing necessary directives to ensure quality implementation and urging active cooperation from citizens.
During his inspection, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the construction work of roads, drains, and the installation of street lights on Palpara Road, a project implemented by the Pirojpur Municipality with funding from the World Bank. He closely examined the progress, quality of construction materials, adherence to designated designs, and overall standards, stressing that work must be completed sustainably and in strict accordance with technical guidelines. He also underscored the importance of ensuring an effective drainage system and minimizing public disruption during construction.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner monitored the commencement of work for an RCC road, drain, and footpath along a 300-meter extended section of Pirojpur's Signature Road, funded under the Annual Development Programme (ADP).
Highlighting that planned and sustainable infrastructure will improve urban communication and ensure safer movement for pedestrians, he called on residents to cooperate with the administration by voluntarily removing unauthorized structures to facilitate road expansion.
Stating that improved road connectivity, efficient drainage, adequate footpaths, and street lighting are vital to building a modern, citizen-friendly town, DC Abu Saeed emphasized that transparency, accountability, and durability must be maintained across all development projects.
