Partner Field School Congress held with farmers in Kalai

To enhance the skills and quality of production for farmers, a training program under the Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNER) was organized by the Upazila Agriculture Office in Kalai, Joypurhat, through the Partner Field School Congress.  

On Saturday at 10 AM, a training session was held at the Upazila Parishad Hall Room, organized by the Upazila Agriculture Extension Department. The event was chaired by Agricultural Officer Arun Chandra Roy, with the chief guest’s speech delivered by Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Shamima Akter Jahan.  

The Partner Field School Congress training focused on crop diversification, safe food production, creating agricultural entrepreneurs, and establishing sustainable value chains for agricultural products, discussed by Masud Ahmed, Senior Monitoring Officer of the PARTNER Project, Bogura Region.  

Special guests present included Upazila Family Planning Officer Mahmudul Hasan, Fisheries Officer Tauhida Muhtamim, Livestock Officer Dr. Muniruzzaman, Additional Upazila Agriculture Officer Mehedi Hasan, and Agriculture Extension Officer Jannatus Sakib.  

The event emphasized increasing crop yields, adopting technology, ensuring safe food production, and establishing farms for nutritious fruits and vegetables. Government officials, public representatives, agriculture department officials, journalists, NGO representatives, and members of the Partner Field School were present.  

The program was moderated by Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Abid Abdullah
