Observance of Genocide Day in Nilphamari
Nilphamari Correspondent: On the occasion of Genocide Day 2025, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Nairuzzaman laid a wreath in memory of the martyrs on behalf of the state at the slaughterhouse adjacent to Nilphamari Government College at 10 AM today. Following this, people from all walks of life, including officials from various government and private institutions of the district, paid tribute to the martyrs.
Later, at 2 PM, a remembrance and discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, focusing on Genocide Day and the historic Liberation War. Deputy Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Nairuzzaman attended the event as the chief guest.
The program, presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mr. Jyoti Bikash Chandra, was attended by department heads, heroic freedom fighters, members of the anti-discrimination student movement, students and teachers from various educational institutions, and other well-wishers.
