Motivational training, cheques, saplings distributed for teenage girls in Bagerhat

In Bagerhat, motivational training, checks and saplings have been provided to teenage girls from poor and disadvantaged families to continue their education, motivate them to save and create opportunities for self-employment. In addition, motivational and awareness training has also been provided to the guardians of these teenage girls.
On Thursday noon, 12 teenage girls who received training under the Integrated Rural Employment Support Project of the Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) at Karapara Secondary Girls' School in Bagerhat Sadar were given checks worth Tk 3,27,600 and bags and saplings of fruit trees among 74 people.
Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner Golam Md. Baten was the chief guest at the event. Among others, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Shahnaz Parvin Bithi, Karapara Secondary Girls' School Headmaster Nazrul Islam, Bagerhat BRDB Deputy Director Delwar Hossain, Upazila Rural Development Officer Shamsur Rahman, and teacher Hosneyara Khatun spoke.
