Ansar members retrieve, return passenger's lost bag containing valuables at HSIA

On-duty members of the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP retrieved a lost handbag containing passports, mobile phones, gold jewelry, and foreign currency at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Friday and safely returned it to its owner.
According to airport officials, Assistant Platoon Commander (APC) Md. Sumon Rana and Ansar member Md. Shakil Biswas spotted an unattended handbag in the Canopy-1 area of the airport at approximately 10:00 am on Friday. Upon taking the bag into protective custody, the personnel initiated verification procedures to trace the rightful owner.
Following procedural verification, the handbag was formally handed over to the passenger, identified as Md. Shakil Hossain, son of Shah Alam and Swapna Begum of Kumuniya village under Barura Thana in Comilla district.
The recovered contents of the bag included two passports, two Android smartphones, two pairs of gold earrings, and 20 Saudi Riyals in cash. Upon receiving his lost belongings intact, the passenger expressed his gratitude to the security personnel for their prompt intervention and integrity.
