Man arrested with 400 Yaba pills, 30g Crystal Meth in Pirojpur

Police arrested a 45-year-old man in possession of 400 Yaba pills and 30 grams of Crystal Meth (Ice) during a targeted anti-narcotics drive in Pirojpur Sadar Upazila.
The raid, led by Sadar Police Station OC Md. Shariful Islam on Saturday, targeted a residence in Paschim Dumuritala village under Shariktala Union. Law enforcers recovered the contraband concealed inside a bedroom of the house and apprehended the suspect, identified as Md. Miraj Sheikh.
Detailing the operation during a press briefing at his office conference room at 11:00 am on Sunday, Pirojpur Superintendent of Police Mohammad Monjur Ahmed Siddiqui identified the arrestee as a habitual drug peddler. The SP confirmed that Sheikh is already a listed accused in multiple prior narcotics cases registered across various police stations in Dhaka, Faridpur, Manikganj, and Cox's Bazar.
Authorities confirmed that a fresh case under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018 is currently being filed against the accused at the Pirojpur Sadar Police Station.
