Barguna law, order committee meeting held

The monthly meeting of the Barguna District Law and Order Committee was held on Sunday at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of the Deputy Commissioner's Office to review regional security, public health measures, and inter-departmental coordination.
Barguna District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Ms. Taslima Akter presided over the meeting at 11:00 am on Sunday. Key stakeholders in attendance included District Parishad Administrator and District BNP Convenor Md. Nazrul Islam Molla, Superintendent of Police Md. Kudrat-e-Khuda, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Sajal Chandra Sheel, Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Nurul Amin, District BNP Member Secretary Humayun Hasan Shahin, and Barguna Press Club President Md. Hafizur Rahman, alongside district departmental heads and committee members.
During the session, participants evaluated the progress of decisions adopted in previous meetings and assessed the overall security framework across the district. Emphasis was placed on strengthening inter-agency coordination among administrative bodies to maintain civic safety and prevent criminal activities.
Addressing the assembly, Deputy Commissioner Taslima Akter emphasized that joint enforcement drives conducted by the district administration, Bangladesh Police, and the Department of Narcotics Control against drug trafficking will continue unabated. Furthermore, she urged civic participation alongside public departments to address dengue and measles prevention, tackle urban waterlogging, and uphold public health and environmental sanitation standards across Barguna.
