The IEEE International Conference on Signal Processing, Information, Communication and System (SPICSCON 2026) is set to be held for the first time on August 13 and 14, 2026, at the Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET) Campus. The conference is being organized by the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of BAUET.

The international conference will be held under the overall supervision of BAUET, in collaboration with the IEEE Bangladesh Section and the IEEE Signal Processing Society, Bangladesh Chapter.

The two-day long conference will provide researchers, teachers, engineers, academics, and industry experts with an opportunity to exchange their latest research findings, knowledge, and experiences. At the same time, the conference will contribute to strengthening interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and effective linkages between academia and industry.

A total of 1,041 research papers have been submitted to SPICSCON 2026 from 109 universities across 18 countries. Following an internationally recognized peer-review process, 328 research papers have been selected for presentation. The participation of a large number of international researchers reflects the conference's global acceptance and growing reputation in the field of research.

Major General Towhidul Ahmed (ndc, afwc, psc), GOC, 11 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Bogura Area, will attend the inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest. Hon'ble Member of Parliament and State Minister for the Ministry of Social Welfare, Barrister Farzana Sharmin, will attend the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest.

BAUET Vice Chancellor Brigadier General S M Lutfor Rahman expressed his sincere gratitude to all participating and supporting organizations, sponsors, members of the organizing committee, reviewers, volunteers, and media representatives for their cooperation in organizing the conference. He expressed hope that SPICSCON 2026 will become a memorable milestone in the advancement of international engineering research and technological development at BAUET and in Bangladesh.

The press conference was attended by Professor Dr. Md. Osman Goni, Conference Chair and Professor of the Department of EEE, and Professor Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuyan, Local Arrangement Chair of the Conference and Dean of the Faculty of ECE.
