Discussion on 2nd anniv of July Mass Uprising at DU

A discussion meeting was organized by University Laboratory School and College on the occasion of the second anniversary of the historic July Uprising on Monday at the school premises. Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Abdus Salam was present as the chief guest at the event.
The discussion meeting was chaired by Acting Principal of University Laboratory School and College Md. Jamil Uddin, and Director of the Institute of Education and Research Professor Hosne Ara Begum and Proctor of Dhaka University Md. Israfil Prang spoke as special guests. Convener of the July Mass Uprising Celebration Committee Md. Imran Kabir delivered the welcome speech. Assistant ProfTahera Yasmin, Md. Saiful Islam Akon and Lecturer Mominul Islam conducted the program.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Abdus Salam said, the sacrifice of the students and the people in the July Uprising will be remembered in the history of the country. To protect the dignity of this sacrifice, all discrimination must be removed from the society and the abuse of power must be stopped.
A documentary on the July Uprising was screened at the event. In addition, the winners of the essay and painting competitions were awarded. Later, a delightful cultural program was presented.
