Fruit tree saplings distributed among over 350 students in Kalapara

With the resolve to build a green belt along the coast, fruit tree saplings have been distributed to 372 students of Lalua Janata Secondary School in Kalapara Upazila of Patuakhali.
Kalapara Upazila Executive Officer Md. Arifuzzaman was present as the chief guest at the tree sapling distribution ceremony in the school grounds on Wednesday at 11 am. He formally distributed tree saplings among the students.
The event, organized by environmentalist organization Dharitree Raksha Amara (Dhara), river and canal protection rights movement organization Water Keepers Bangladesh, and Amara Kalaparabasi volunteer organization, was attended by school principal Avni Kumar Roy, Lalua Union Parishad Chairman Shawkat Hossain Tapan Biswas, Kalapara coordinator of Dharitree Raksha Amara Dhara Mejbahuddin Mannu, Water Keepers Kuakata representative Kamal Hasan Roni, Amara Kalaparabasi organizer Nazrul Islam, and Plataniers Club members, among others.
During this time, mango, jackfruit, guava, and amalaki saplings were distributed among the students. A festive atmosphere prevailed among the students surrounding the distribution of saplings.
