Special police election training inaugurated at Rajarbagh

Bangladesh Police inaugurated a specialized election training program on Wednesday  at the Rajarbagh Police Auditorium in Dhaka to ensure professionalism, neutrality, and efficiency among force members discharging election duties.

Chief Election Commissioner A.M.M. Nasir Uddin attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Ali Hossain Fakir presided over the event.

Addressing the program, speakers reaffirmed the firm commitment of both the government and the Election Commission to host free, fair, neutral, and peaceful local government elections. They emphasized the critical role of structured training in enhancing the operational efficiency of law enforcement personnel deployed to maintain law and order during polls.

Delivering her address, Dhaka District Superintendent of Police Shamima Parvin stressed the importance of ensuring accountability, professional competence, and integrity while fulfilling electoral duties. She noted that neutral and honest conduct by police officers is vital for executing an acceptable election, expressing confidence that the training would bolster force readiness.

Senior officials of Bangladesh Police alongside representatives from various administrative bodies attended the inauguration ceremony.
