Dhaka SP's press briefing on social media propaganda on '7 floating bodies in Turag River'

A press briefing was held by the Dhaka District Police at 3:30 PM on Sunday to address the ongoing social media propaganda concerning the alleged discovery of seven floating bodies in the Turag River.
The briefing took place in the press conference room of the Dhaka District Superintendent of Police's office to clear the misinformation regarding the spreading across various online platforms.
During the press briefing, Dhaka District Superintendent of Police Shamima Parveen detailed the incident to the present print and electronic media journalists and answered their various questions. She stated that the matter is currently under active investigation, which she is personally monitoring around the clock. She further assured that the police are giving the highest priority to unearthing the actual facts behind these claims.
The Superintendent of Police also used the urged the general public, through the media, to remain cautious about unverified information on social media. She requested everyone to refrain from spreading any rumors or misleading news without proper verification to prevent unnecessary public panic.
