State Minister for Information Yaser Khan Chowdhury distributes cheque of Tk 1.96cr to road accident victims' families in Mymensingh

The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Trustee Board distributed financial compensation cheques worth anout Tk 1 crore 96 lakh among families affected by road accidents in the Mymensingh district. Jointly organized by the District Administration and the Mymensingh BRTA Mymensingh Circle, the cheque distribution ceremony was held on the morning of June 19 at the Bhasha Shaheed Abdur Jabbar Auditorium of the Mymensingh Zilla Parishad.
Yaser Khan Chowdhury MP, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting, attended the program as the chief guest and officially handed over the compensation cheques to the recipient families. The ceremony was presided over by Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner S.M. Humayun Kabir Sarkar.
A number of senior administrative officials and transport sector leaders spoke at the event, including Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Md. Saifur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner Umme Habiba Mira, and Mymensingh Superintendent of Police Md. Kamrul Hasan. Additionally, Mymensingh Motor Owners Association Secretary General Abdur Rouf Akand Ratan and Mymensingh District Motor Workers Union President Md. Nazrul Islam delivered speeches addressing the safety and welfare of road accident victims.
The event concluded with the formal handover of the welfare funds to the grieving families.
