Dhaka SP Shamima Parveen named Advisor to Asian Police Sports Council

Shamima Parveen, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Dhaka District and General Secretary of the Bangladesh Police Football Club, has been nominated as an Advisor to the Asian Police Sports Council (APSC).
According to an official letter issued by the council, the nomination recognizes her professional experience and contributions to policing and sports-related activities.
The letter noted that Parveen’s expertise, background, and guidance will be instrumental in advancing police sports cooperation, fostering camaraderie, and promoting athletic excellence among law enforcement agencies across Asia.
As an advisor, she will be invited to provide strategic counsel and guidance on the development and expansion of police sports, regional collaboration, sporting events, and other key initiatives undertaken by the APSC. The council expressed optimism that she would accept the nomination and extend her valuable support to its ongoing mission.
In addition to her current roles as General Secretary of the Bangladesh Police Football Club and SP of Dhaka, Shamima Parveen also serves as the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Police Service Association.
