Australia keen  in expanding educational,  research,  cultural cooperation with DU

Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Ryle paid a courtesy call on the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Abdus Salam, at his office on Wednesday.
 
Cultural Affairs Minister Advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury and Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir were present.

During the meeting, they discussed the potential for enhancing cooperation in education, research, culture and technology between Dhaka University and various Australian universities. Emphasis was placed on expanding joint research and academic exchange programs, specially in the fields of engineering, computer science, information technology, electronics, nuclear engineering, robotics and other modern sciences.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Abdus Salam informed the guests about the education, research, science, technology, culture and innovative activities of Dhaka University. 

Australian High Commissioner Suzanne Ryle praised the recent achievements of Dhaka University and its increasing progress in international rankings. 

Later, the guests visited the exhibition titled " Antarctic Science & Climate Change " in the Department of Oceanography and participated in a panel discussion.
