Ansar-VDP launches dengue awareness, clean-up drive in Mohanpur

Members of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP conducted a special cleanliness drive and public awareness campaign to combat dengue in Mohanpur Upazila of Rajshahi district on Tuesday morning.
Led by Mohanpur Upazila Ansar and VDP Officer Md. Rakibul Hasan, the initiative formed part of a ongoing nationwide dengue prevention drive on Tuesday.
During the program on Tuesday, Ansar-VDP personnel cleaned major local marketplaces and primary thoroughfares while applying larvicide to eliminate Aedes mosquito breeding sites. Following the clean-up drive, officers and volunteers held an awareness rally through the upazila and distributed informational leaflets to residents.
Organizers emphasized eliminating stagnant water around residential premises and urged community members to consult medical professionals promptly upon experiencing dengue symptoms. Local residents commended the administrative initiative, noting that such field-level drives significantly bolster public health efforts across rural communities.
