
24 Bangladeshis handed over to families through flag meeting at Fulbari Border

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has brought back and handed over 24 Bangladeshi men, women, and children to their families. These individuals, who had gone to Delhi, India, in search of work and were detained by the Border Security Force (BSF) while returning, were repatriated.
On Friday (May 23) at around 1:30 AM, a flag meeting was held between BGB and BSF near the 932 border pillar at the Balatari border in Fulbari Upazila, Kurigram. The meeting was led by Assistant Commandant SHL Simti from the Indian 3 BSF Battalion on behalf of BSF, and Major Hasnain, Deputy Commander of Lalmonirhat 15 BGB Battalion, on behalf of BGB.
Naodanga Union Parishad Chairman Hasen Ali, UP member Abdul Alim, UP member Mahir Uddin, and Balahat BGB Camp Commander Naik Subedar Saidur Rahman, along with other BGB members were also present . After an hour-long meeting, the BSF formally handed over the 24 detained Bangladeshi men, women, and children to the BGB. Subsequently, the BGB took them to their camp and handed them over to their families.
Major Hasnain, Deputy Commander of Lalmonirhat 15 BGB Battalion, stated that the 24 Bangladeshi men, women, and children were brought back through a flag meeting following due process. With the assistance of local residents and public representatives, they were handed over to their families.
