In a shining example of the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP’s impactful skill development initiatives, Md. Murad Hossain from Bishpara village under Badalgachhi Upazila in Naogaon has secured a high-paying job offer in the African island nation of Sicily.
Murad completed a technical training course in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning at the Regional Technical Training Center of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP in Dinajpur. His achievement stands as a remarkable testament to the force's ongoing efforts to build a skilled workforce, provide technical training, and create post-training employment opportunities in line with international labor market demands.
Murad successfully acquired hands-on expertise in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from the Dinajpur training center, enabling him to position himself competitively in the global job market. As part of the final selection process, the relevant authorities in Sicily conducted an online interview.
To facilitate this crucial step, special arrangements were made at the Ansar-VDP Academy in Safipur, Gazipur, where the Commander of the Safipur Ansar Battalion and the Director of the Project Training Directorate provided full operational and logistical support. Official sources confirm that his visa and necessary documentation are expected to arrive from Sicily within the next three months.
This accomplishment is part of a continuous journey of success for Murad. Earlier in July this year, with assistance from the Dinajpur District Ansar and VDP office, he secured employment with the PRAN-RFL Group. He had also previously received a job offer from Dubai, UAE, which he was unable to accept at the time due to personal family commitments. Obtaining this final offer from Sicily now opens exciting new horizons for his career.
Bangladesh Ansar and VDP actively conducts diverse training programs tailored to domestic and international market trends. These encompass Japanese language courses (N4 and N5 levels), 6G welding, masonry, driving, and cultural adaptation programs to help trainees adjust seamlessly abroad. Additionally, a mobile IT training bus was recently launched to enhance computer and information technology skills.
By maintaining direct coordination with foreign employers and offering post-training career support, the force ensures that technical learning transitions into meaningful employment. Murad Hossain's success highlights the practical efficacy of these career-oriented programs, paving the way for youth empowerment, socioeconomic development, and expanded overseas opportunities for the nation.
