Ziaur Rahman laid historic foundation for inclusive Bangladeshi nationalism: CHTT Minister Saching Prue Jerry

Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Prince Saching Prue Jerry MP stated on Saturday that martyr President Ziaur Rahman laid the historic foundation for integrating all ethnic communities into the national mainstream through the ideology of "Bangladeshi Nationalism."
He made the observations as the chief guest at a views-exchange meeting with representatives from plainland ethnic groups and the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jatigosthi Dal, held at the Chittagong Hill Tracts Complex auditorium on Bailey Road in Dhaka.
Paying tribute to President Ziaur Rahman, Minister Saching Prue Jerry emphasized that the current government under Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is committed to ensuring equal rights, protecting indigenous languages and cultures, expanding modern education, and improving living standards for ethnic communities in both hill and plainland regions.
Responding to demands presented by ethnic representatives regarding land rights, education, and cultural preservation, Minister Saching Prue assured that the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs and relevant government bodies will actively evaluate their logical demands to ensure sustainable solutions.
Chaired by Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jatigosthi Dal President Mrigen Hagidok, the meeting was addressed by General Secretary Shishir Deo alongside senior organizational leaders and community representatives.
