 Former students of Dudhkhawa Government Primary School in Rajarhat upazila presented a Pulsar motorcycle and special crests to outgoing headmaster Md. Sahidul Islam as a token of appreciation during his grand farewell and the school's 36th-anniversary reunion on Friday.

The school ground turned into a vibrant reunion as current and former students, teachers, and local dignitaries gathered around 3:00 PMon Sunday. Sahidul Islam recently retired after serving the institution for 36 years, nine months, and eight days.

Speaking at the event, Mostafizur Rahman Mondal Sathi, a member of the organizing committee, highlighted the headmaster's contributions, stating that under his efficient leadership, the institution gained recognition as a model school in Rajarhat upazila. He noted that pupils from the school have consistently earned general and talent-pool scholarships since 1995.

In his emotional address, Sahidul Islam recalled the school's humble beginnings in 1988 under the RDRS "Sikkha Niloy" program, before he joined as an appointed teacher on January 27, 1990. He noted that the institution received formal registration in 1995 and was nationalized on January 1, 2013.

The discussion session was presided over by teacher Ahammad Ali Mondal, with Assistant Upazila Primary Education Officer Hridoy Krishna Barman attending as the chief guest. Assistant Education Officer Ashrafuzzaman, former student Dr. Md. Abdus Salam, and other distinguished local guests were also present.
