Teachers' demands will be fulfilled if BNP comes to power : Altaf Hossain Chowdhury

BNP Vice Chairman and former Home and Commerce Minister Air Vice Marshal (retd) Altaf Hossain Chowdhury said, "Our leader Tarique Rahman has said that his party is on your (teachers') side, and that if his party comes to power, your demands will be fulfilled step by step. To establish peace, order and development in the country, good governance is needed. And to establish good governance, a fair election is needed. But still, a group at home and abroad is conspiring to sabotage the election. Our neighboring country still wants to bring Sheikh Hasina back to the country. That is not possible now!"
He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a view-sharing meeting with teachers in Mirzaganj, Patuakhali on Friday afternoon at the premises of Subidkhali Government Rahman Ishaq Pilot Secondary School.
The event was presided over by Prof Akhtar Uddin, Principal of Subidkhali Government College.
