Tongibari (Munshiganj) Correspondent
A press conference has been held in protest of the news published in Tongibari, Munshiganj. Shri Hari Bhadra held the press conference at the Tongibari Press Club on Saturday at 11 am.
In a written statement, he said that the news published in the local daily Desh Seva newspaper under the title “Attempt to forcibly occupy leased ready-made shops in Munshiganj” is completely false, fabricated and purposeful. It has no relation to reality. He alleged that an attempt has been made to tarnish his personal and social dignity through the news.
He further said that there was a temporary paan shop in front of the public Sri Sri Radha Govinda and Kali temple in Baligaon Bazar of the upazila, which did not cause any problem during worship. But a person named Anik Vaidya built a shop there in the dark of night. When the matter was reported to the administration in the interest of the temple, the shop was demolished in the presence of the surveyor of the AC Land office on the instructions of the upazila administration. However, after this incident, false news was published mentioning his name.
Shri Hari Bhadra said that he respects the journalistic community, but some dishonest people have provided misleading information for personal interests. He strongly condemned and protested the related news and called on responsible journalists to verify and publish the true information. Local dignitaries and locals were present.
