Scientific seminar held in Amtali

A scientific seminar was organized by the Barguna Community Paramedic Association (BCPA), Amtali Upazila branch on Thursday at the Taj Mahal Party Center in Amtali in collaboration with Servier Pharmaceutical and SwitchContact.
The event was presided over by Barguna Community Paramedic Association convener Md. Masum Billah and was attended by Amtoli UNO Md. Roknuzzaman Khan as the chief guest. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Chinmoy Hawlader, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Tarek Hasan, Press Club President Md. Rezaul Karim Badal, journalists Md. Hossain Ali Kazi and Md. Zainul Abedin were present as special guests.
The seminar was moderated by Barguna Paramedic Association Member Secretary Md. Ziadul Karim. The speakers included Servier Regional Manager Md. Zakir Hossain, SwitchContact Coordinator Md. Anwarul Islam, Liton Kumar and Md. Abu Bakar Khan, among others.
The seminar provided special training on diabetes, high blood pressure, and piles.
In his speech as the chief guest, UNO Md. Roknuzzaman Khan said, "Community paramedics are providing primary healthcare to the marginalized communities. However, they need to be more responsible and play a role in the welfare of the people."
