Orientation of heritage org 'Notun Shangha' in Old Dhaka

An orientation meeting was held following the formation of the full executive committee for "Notun Shangha," a traditional organization in Old Dhaka recently.
The orientation meeting for the 2026–2028 full committee was graced by Liberation War Affairs Minister Engineer Ishraque Hossain, MP, who attended as the chief guest. Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam, Bangladesh Supreme Court Assistant Attorney General Md. Alamgir Hossain, and A.K. Azad—former general secretary of Canada BNP, founding general secretary of Canada Jubo Dal, and general secretary of the Toronto Bangladesh Business Association—were present as special guests.
Established 76 years ago in 1950, Notun Shangha stands as one of the capital's few remaining historic organizations rooted in the heritage of Old Dhaka.
