Protest marches and rallies were held in Sundarganj, Gaibandha, demanding justice for the indiscriminate killings in the October 28th 'Logi Baitha ' attack.
As part of the central program of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, a protest procession started from the Bahir Gola Jame Mosque premises after Asr prayer at the initiative of the Sundarganj Upazila branch. The procession circled the main roads of the city and then gathered at the Bahir Gola intersection.
Sundarganj Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Professor Shahidul Islam Manju addressed the gathering. Upazila Secretary Samiul Islam, Municipal Branch Ameer Principal Ekramul Haque and local Jamaat leaders also spoke.
The speakers said that in 2006, the autocratic Awami League government led by the government carried out indiscriminate and infernal killings by attacking with sticks and sticks, killing leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islam and dancing on their bodies. The speakers demanded the immediate arrest and trial of the murderers and exemplary punishment.
