HSC results : None passes from 7 colleges in Tangail

In the recent HSC results, none of the students from seven out of 107 colleges in Tangail district passed.
The District Education Office confirmed this information on Friday after the results were released on Thursday (October 16). Parents say that the students failed due to lack of regular classes.
 
The 100% unsuccessful colleges are: Allama Yakub Ali College in Sadar Upazila, Tangail College, Tangail Commerce College, Shaheen College, Fatepur Moynal Haque School and College in Mirzapur,adhupur Women's College in Madhupur and Hadira Badhurirchar College in Gopalpur.
 
It is learnt that 11,119 students from 107 colleges in the district have passed out of 25,130 students. The pass rate is 44.25 percent. 573 students have got GPA 5. In addition, 997 students have passed out of 1,490 students in the Alim exam. The pass rate is 66.91 percent. 23 students have got GPA 5. 1,395 students have passed out of 2,265 students in the BM exam. The pass rate is 61.59 percent. Five students have got GPA 5. 240 students have passed out of 538 students in the HSC (Vocational) exam. The pass rate is 44.61 percent. One person has got GPA 5.
According to the District Education Office, 16 students each from Allama Yakub Ali College and Hadira Badhurirchar College in Gopalpur failed in the last HSC examination. 9 students each from Tangail College failed. 2 students each from Tangail Commerce College, Shaheen College and Madhupur Women's College failed. 18 students each from Fatehpur Moynal Haque School and College in Mirzapur failed.
 
Attempts to contact the relevant college authorities on mobile phone regarding this matter were unsuccessful.
SM Saifullah, professor of the Department of Environmental Science and Resource Management at Maulana Bhashani University of Science and Technology in Tangail, said, "After the coup, much importance is being given to the education system. Teachers, students and guardians need to be more aware. You cannot pass by studying nominally at home without going to college. You have to go to the classroom regularly and take classes. In addition to creating an educational environment in the college or classroom, radical changes in teaching must be brought about."
 
District Education Officer Rebecca Sultana said,  necessary steps will be taken after discussing the matter with the district administration and senior officials.
