Tk 5 lakh outstanding electricity bill in Manohardi Model Mosque

Manohardi model mosque is burdened with outstanding electricity bills of about 5 lakhs.
It is learnt that since the opening of the Manohardi Model Mosque, its electricity bill has been in arrears. As the mosque has no specific income, the arrears of the mosque have increased and the arrears have reached Tk 5 lakh till April this year. Due to lack of payment, this bill is continuously increasing.
On an average, 1000/1200 units of electricity are used in the mosque every month. President of Manohardi Model Mosque Committee and Manohardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer Hashiba Khan said in this context, he has brought up the matter to the concerned authorities several times.
The old mosque house adjacent to the model mosque has been auctioned and some money has been arranged. From this more or less outstanding electricity bills can be settled.
